- You stated that Pope John Paul II does not want to break with
- tradition by ordaining women in the church because Jesus chose only
- male Apostles (RELIGION, May 8). So what? Jesus did not fly in
- planes or undergo lifesaving surgery. John Paul has done both. The
- Roman Catholic Church is wrong to put aside half its human
- resources: women.

- If I were the Vatican, I wouldn't take the Anglicans too
- seriously, since they've demonstrated, at least in America, that
- they are more interested in feminism than in substantive Christian
- unity.
